(From 2013 Vintage) The Napa Cellars Chardonnay exhibits the classic Napa Valley Chardonnay characteristics unique to this region. Aromas of fresh floral notes, toasted apple strudel, tangerine rind, and pear blossom excite the senses. The palate consists of crème fraîche and baked shortbread, which create a soft, round mouth feel with an extended finish of toffee and crème brûlée. The balanced acidity gives this Chardonnay its approachable character.
(From «nv» Vintage) The fruit for our 2011 Napa Cellars Chardonnay was sourced from select vineyards in prime Chardonnay locations including South Napa and Carneros. The cool weather influences in the southern part of the valley enabled an extended growing season. The resulting wine has wonderful, bright fruit flavors and crisp acidity—characteristics of a rich, ripe, classic Chardonnay.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2007 Vintage) On the one hand a touch sweet and smacking of sweet butter, but, on the other, inherently lean and green with regards to its essential fruit, this uneven wine is driven off course by obvious matchsticky notes in the nose and a finish that is bothered by a bit of chemical heat.
