(From 2008 Vintage) This Chianti Classico comes from the continuous research of the diversity in our vineyards; the 50 different parcels that compose this wine have been vinified without any pumps, and aged separately in the new Fonterutoli cellar.
A well-proportioned wine with an elegant body of dark berry fruit and aromas of fresh spice. The intense raspberry and bitter cherry fruit are lifted by taut acidity and lithe tannins.
Hand harvested grapes undergo separate temperature-controlled fermentation for 15-18 days. The Sangiovese is then aged for 16 months in new French barriques; the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 18 months in new French barriques.
