Winemaker's Notes

The 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon delivers the highest quality from Louis Martini's premium Napa Valley vineyards. This wine exhibits a deep burgundy color with aromas of dark fruits, smoky cedar and dried herbs. Concentrated flavors of black cherry and blackberry are framed nicely by cedar and toast notes on the finish. Rich and broad in the mouth, this wine has a long finish with an expansive palate.

A dense ruby/purple color is followed by abundant aromas of black currants, cherries and loamy soil, but virtually no wood. The wine reveals lots of fruit along with a medium-bodied texture, silky tannins and adequate acidity.

(From 2000 Vintage) 19% Merlot. Far and away the preferred bottling over its lesser mates below, Martini's Napa Valley version is a medium-deep, well-defined Cabernet that presents attractive cherry and cassis themes with a helpful dollop of creamy oak. Its nicely measured tannins will support a bit of time in the cellar, and three or four years of age will find it at its peak.
