(From 2009 Vintage) Offers blackcurrant and mint aromas, both true to region; the medium-bodied but firm palate has an appealing touch of earthy austerity to frame the cassis and blackcurrant at its core.
Some handy depth here in this staple red, good color. The nose smells of blackcurrant and hints of red berries, a little cabernet herbal streak too. The palate s supple and sturdy; it has the authority of cabernet with the right approachability as well. A very handy wine for the money.
