(2009 Vintage) Stephen Tanzer: Bright, deep red. Dark fruits, licorice and oak spices on the nose. Fat and sweet on the palate, with lovely ?oral lift to the sappy dark berry and pepper ?avours. Really dense and creamy for village wine. Finishes broad, sweet and long, with substantial ripe tannins. Like the Volnay and Nuits-Saint-Georges, this was aged in 600- litre barrels, a format Potel is using more and more for his village wines. 89/100.
