2010 Chateau Ste. Michelle Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley

Wine Description

(From 2011 Vintage) The nose hints at light oak — a third of the blend spent five months in older French oak — backed by peach, muskmelon, lime and minerality. There’s tasty honeydew melon on the bone-dry entry, followed by baked apple, more lime, slate and cleansing acidity.

Winemaker's Notes

The cooler vintage led to a more herbal style of Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of grass, fresh herbs and grapefruit with a clean, fresh finish. The mostly stainless steel fermentation makes this a crisp wine that would pair well with dishes with cream sauce.

There is a bite at the beginning but the bite goes away after the first few sips it mellows out to a clean crisp white
