Château Coutet Barsac Premier Cru Classé

Wine Details

Wine Description

Pineapple, tropical, full fruits, a bit riper and richer than the 2008, needs some time to integrate. This is currently a bit fragmented with richness, some minerality, but this has the potential to settle into a brilliant Coutet made in a riper style. Paired fabulously with lamb risotto and dungeness crab pasta.

(2013 Vintage) Unctuous and ripe, showing mouthfilling flavors of almond cream, ginger, heather honey and apricot, this will need time to unwind fully, but when it does, expect more pineapple, maple and singed orange notes, as this has some depth and power in reserve, as well as more than enough cut for balance. A beauty in the making.
