Chalk Hill Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County

Wine Details

Wine Description

Our estate is unique. The imprint of its terroir is readily apparent in the aromatics, flavors and textures of our wines. For Chardonnay, one of the most noteworthy traits is concentration. Our 2010 is a great example. While displaying a bit more elegance than recent vintages, the wine is still wonderfully intense and powerful with notes of baked apple, hazelnuts, lemon peel, nutmeg, brioche and cream.

Winemaker's Notes

The wine was fermented with native and cultured yeasts in a combination of small French oak and stainless steel barrels. Regular lees stirring after fermentation brought the avors and textures of the wine into perfect harmony.

RECOMMENDED CALIFORNIA SAUVIGNON BLANC “Equal parts delicious and intriguing, with spicy, smoky and floral notes. Meyer lemon, apricot and nectarine flavors end with a juicy, spicy finish, with touches of spice box and crushed rock. Drink Now.”
