(From 2012 Vintage) Our Cabernet Sauvignon shows vibrant blackberry and red cherry flavors with notes of cinnamon and toasted nuts. Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of red grape varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon is the result of a genetic cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It is the principal grape of Bordeaux and California's most prized and expensive wines. The beauty of this resilient red wine grape is the many different styles of wine it is capable of yielding.
The 2010 Blackstone Winemaker’s Select Cabernet Sauvignon is full of ripe flavors and soft round textures with notes of strawberry, red cherry, and Jolly Rancher watermelon and the tannins nicely balanced between a smooth texture. Oak aging has added vanilla and roasted nuts to the wine’s background, completing the package and making it ideal with a perfectly cooked steak and other red meats.
