(From 2012 Vintage) Louis Jadot Pommard is a firm, fill bodied wine that is nevertheless exceptionally round and generous, with a soft, fruity depth of character and a bouquet suggestive of raspberries. The cuisine capable of honouring Pommard wine has to be quite spicy with a strong flavour : hare, pheasant, entrecôte steak in wine, or cheeses like Epoisses, Livarot, Pont l'Evêque. The fermentation takes place in tanks during 3-4 weeks, after which they are aged in barrel for 12-15 months before being bottled.
Big, fresh, vibrant red raspberry and cherry flavors followed by impressions of spice and earth mark this generous, robust Pinot Noir, which finishes on a full, ripe note underscored by firm tannins.
Clear pale ruby colour. Savoury aromas with hint of red fruit. Juicy cranberry strawberry and vanilla up front. Lovely length with gentle well integrated tannins. Medium body with nice complexity.
Nice, ligh white
