2009 Vina Almaviva Puente Alto

Wine Description

Classically built, with a compact and fine-tuned frame giving way to rich cassis, black cherry reduction, fig paste, spice box and licorice notes woven with fine tannins, juicy acidity and a firm, minerally spine.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 1998 Vintage) This classic Bordeaux-blend from Philippe de Rothschild and Concha y Toro is the first wine from Chile to challenge seriously the finest that France has to offer. Immensely rich with striking blackcurrant flavours, a firm tannic structure and a long, long finish. Drink from now through 2010.
