(2011 Vintage) The wine is lemon straw in colour with vibrant green highlights. The nose has vibrant fruit intensity, with peaches and cream accompanied by intense white fleshed nectarine. There are also nuances of roasted-almond and subtle caramel toffee notes and an underlying ripe citrus backbone all bound together with a well-structured, and well-integrated layering of oak complexity. The palate shows textural weight and balance with a soft, creamy finish.
White flowers, cotton candy , grape ffruit High acidity and some sugar. Had with roast chicken. felt this was a crisper Chardonnay, almost Savignon Blanc like, with citrus flavours, and more acidic than most Chardonnays. All in all not bad, but am generally looking for something smoother in a Chardonnay,. but not a bad summer drink on the deck.
