Wine Description

(From 2008 Vintage) The 2008 Grande Cuvée Pinot Noir delivers suave aromas of macerated cherries, blackcurrant, spices and cigar box. The flavors are fresh and juicy, showing ripe black cherries and cassis, framed by a long spicy aftertaste with a vibrant structure. Enjoy this complex yet easily approachable wine now or cellar for up to 7 years. Pairs well with Northwest-inspired cuisine, like salmon, duck or mushrooms.

Winemaker's Notes

Editors' Choice * Tart and tight, with primary raspberry and cranberry fruit, dotted with licorice, cola and cinnamon notes. Despite its youth, it shows appealing complexity, leading into a full and satisfying finish with drying tannins.

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(From 2007 Vintage) Somewhat high in toasty, woodsy notes but nicely fruity behind those first impressions, the aromas of this fairly full-bodied wine fend off a hint of greens and keep fruit at the front of the line. Supple and showing a bit of Pinot Noir velvet, this one crosses the palate comfortably and finds enough well-integrated acidity at the back to finish with both polish and a nice bit of energy. It needs no cellaring-so enjoy.
