(From 2005 Vintage) 2005 Côte du Rhône blanc: 50% Roussanne (new and one-year-old oak); 30% Clairette (three-year-old barrels); 20% Marsanne (two-year-old barrels). Roussanne gives ripeness; Marsanne freshness; Clairette an angle of austerity. The fermentations were long and slow, with bâtonnage.
