(From 2013 Vintage) The grapes for this Chardonnay are grown on the hillsides of Macon in southern Burgundy, a historic wine-growing area whose vines date back to the Gallo-Roman times. This wine is fermented on its lees in stainless steel. Smooth and fresh, Roux Macon-Villages Chardonnay has a complex bouquet, including aromas of acacia, citrus, fern, honeysuckle, lemon-grass, verbena, and white roses. It’s perfect as an aperitif and also pairs well with grilled fish, chicken or veal with cream sauces, and risotto.
