"In the nose almost burgundian like aromas of plum, kirsch, rhubarb, smoke and a hint of stem are followed on the palate by flavors of five spice, cardamom, star anise, vanilla and boysenberry. The finish is sturdy and a bit foreboding now. Over all this vintage of PlumpJack is truly a pinot noir lovers Syrah but fans of our previous wines will not be disappointed." -Winery
Wine Spectator(2013 Vintage) Well-built and richly structured, with bold aromas of blackberry, mocha and licorice, showing layered flavors of smoky raspberry, grilled herb and pepper. The tannins are big, but ripe and balanced.
