About the Winery
This Cabernet has a classic style and structure worthy of its heritage. After 86 years abandoned, the Palmaz family resurrected this historic wine. The label design was taken from a rubbing of the 1889 barrel brander.
The aromas of this wine are reminiscent early spring cherry, and lingonberry lifted with a note of herbs d Provence. The textures are surprisingly lush and tannins ripe for such a cool vintage and the finish is focused and youthful.
The gentle handling throughout the vinification process lets our winemaking team –Tina Mitchell and consultant, Mia Klein create wines that are supple, balanced and true to our unique terroir.
