(2009 Vintage) Clear, garnet color bearing beautiful wild strawberry, tayberry, black pepper with red and black currant notes. Precise on the palate with satisfying acid that provides framework for the ripe black fruit and baked brown earth finish. The Grenache lends excellent, festive red fruit while the Syrah and Mouvedre add savory notes: stewed dark fruits, sweet herb and complex earthiness. Pair this wine with roasted fowl, pork and lighter beef dishes as well as washed rind cheeses. Drink now through 2015.
