(2009 Vintage) The raspberry and cherry aromas jump right to the fore and carry themselves through to the finish of this wine. This vintage has a bit more texture than our previous offerings, the tannins suggesting tea. The flavors echo this with slightly nutty nuances, reminiscent of fine green tea. The texture is rich and viscous and a nutmeg spiciness shows itself in the mouth. On the finish the fruit becomes more jam oriented and black pepper rises, making for a wine that is indelibly and unmistakably Zinfandel.
