Wine Details

Wine Description

(From 2005 Vintage) Deep blackberry and dark plum spiked with spice, chocolate and toasty oak. Focused concentration, rich and round with a long, supple finish.

Winemaker's Notes

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep ruby in appearance. This wine has concentrated ripe cherry, black currant and plum aromas interlaced with complex notes of dark chocolate, clove and toasty oak and build a complementary blend of enticing aromas. Well-structured and integrated, the richly woven palate boasts mountain characteristics of intense dark berry and cassis with highlights of bay, anise and mocha. Full and textural, hints of nutmeg and vanilla bean add to the long persistent finish.

A solid cab; had it with a nice rack of lamb. Solid but not perfect. I needed a little more tannic structure.
