(From 2012 Vintage) Rich, round and complex, this wine is simply awesome. The Maitre D’ has an enticing perfumed nose of blackberry, plum, cigar box and a touch of cinnamon. Overwhelming flavors of blackcurrant and dark cherry carry forward, accompanied by mouth filling layers of mocha, spice and vanilla.
This is pretty mellow, hate to say but for a cab it's underwheming. small front end, small back end. ok but not bold enough for a cab
drank at 5th anniversary at capital grille. one of our favorites.
smooth velvety easy drinking cab, but not very robust.
smooth and velvety... no overpowering flavors
Wine Spectator"Smooth, rich and powerful, layered with blackberry, licorice, roasted meat and bay leaf flavors that roll easily into the expressive finish. Drink now through 2016. 12,738 cases made." –HS
