Londer Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

Wine Details

Pinot Noir

Wine Description

(2005 Vintage) Tasting Notes: A bright fruit nose with red and black cherry and spice. This is followed by a rich mid palate with a mix of red and dark fruit plus a hint of exotic spices . The flavors finish with a touch of caramel, chocolate, and soft tannins. This is a very complex wine that Pinotphiles will love. Try this wine with lamb or filet mignon. Vintage Notes 2005 started with a cool spring with rain in June. Fall was warm and dry, allowing good ripening. Results were low yields, but wine with intense flavors and excellent quality Technical Notes: Appellation Anderson Valley Acidity: pH-3.65 Alcohol: 15.4% read more...Bottling Date: July 10, 2006 Fermentation Open Top, Natural yeast Harvest Date: 9/22/2005 Harvest Notes: Dry, warm fall Months in Barrel: 9 months Oak: 40% New French Oak Release Date: March 01, 2007 Sugar: 0.02% Return to Londer Wine List (hide)

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(2006 Vintage) Whereas Londer's succulent Paraboll bottling steers to glyceriny plumpness, this equally ripe, but more firmly structured wine is built in a sturdier style. Like its mate, it exhibits no shortfall of fruity substance and depth, yet it is never so showy and conveys a certain sense of reserve. Even though slightly tannic and a bit tight at the end, it sports persistent finishing fruit, and its high recommendation comes as much for what it will be in a another few years as for what it is right now.

(2009 Vintage) Elegant and detailed, with dried berry, spice and mineral flavors, this medium-weight red is successful for its subtle flavor notes. Drink now through 2016. 1,532 cases made. —J.L.
