Jordan Winery Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Description

(2009 Vintage) Every vintage of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted with a focus on striking a perfect balance between beautiful fruit, silky tannins and a lingering finish. It is this delicate balance—all done by taste—that allows for the gradual, graceful evolution of Jordan's Cabernet Sauvignon in bottle. Renowned for our consistency of quality vintage after vintage, Jordan has remained one of the most popular wines on the best U.S. restaurant wine lists for decades. The diversity of our collection of crus—estate vineyard blocks that have more clay-rich soils like the Right Bank of Bordeaux and family grower parcels on mid-slope, well-drained Sonoma County vineyards with mineral-rich, gravelly soils reminiscent of Bordeaux's Left Bank—gives our new world Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon a complexity found only in the top first growths of the world.

Wine Enthusiast 90pts - Russian River Valley, Sonoma, CA- "Bright and zesty, with flavors of limes, kiwi fruit, green apples and pineapples, accompanied by crisp acidity. Could almost be an Edna Valley Chardonnay. Oak plays only a supporting role."

(2012 Vintage) Seamless with medium body and attractive aromas of mocha, black currant, spice and sweet herb. The palate is focused with black currant, blueberry and fine, grainy texture.

(2000 Vintage) The fleeting hints of citrus and green apples in this one come and go all too quickly, and, in the absence of any semblance of varietal fruitiness and identifiable richness, the wine turns thin and slightly coarse as it crosses the palate and empties out into a forgettable finish.
