(From 2006 Vintage) Deep red color, Scented, suggestions of red berry fruits with a floral border, vanillian spice well integrated new oak. Produced on the estate of local Esporão Aragones, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Bouschet grapes. Intense, deep red color with perfumed aromas of red berry fruit and spicy American oak. Silky texture on the palate with layers of fruit contribuiting wealth, balance and complexity.
The palate is well balanced and elegant, with layers of ripe fruit and fine supportive tannins. Shows richness and complexity, with a long and persistent finish.
The 2009 RESERVA is lovely, refined, suave and elegant, with a soft, caressing texture and burst of flavor lingering on the finish. Everything seems rather well integrated here, hardly a hair out of place, although it does need a little time to integrate the oak just a bit better. There is steel underneath, even if it opens with a bit of a creamy texture. With air, it shows off its structure and intensity, the tannins providing some grip on the finish.
