(From 2012 Vintage) Casillero del Diablo Reserva Carmenere is a deep, dark purple wine with aromas of dark plum, chocolate and hints of coffee and toasty oak. On the palate, there are notes of dark plums and spice, generously framed by toasty American oak with a soft and well-structured mouth-filling texture.
(From 2010 Vintage) A deep carmine color, this well-bal- color, this well-bal- anced red offers plum, chocolate and spice in the and spice in the nose with sweet, nose with sweet, round but firm tannins in the finish.
Nice, thick body. Slightly acidic taste. Didn't pair well with lemon pork tenderloin, but had to re-cork to stop from finishing the bottle.
