Winemaker's Notes

(From 2012 Vintage) The Indian Wells Cabernet is our warm climate ripe, jammy “New World” style of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine typifies the Wahluke Slope region with dark fruit aromas and flavors.

92 Great, didn't expect such a good Cab Sav. Easy to drink, very big, beefy, bouncy. Lots of fruit, blackberry, cherry, from start to finish. Beautiful dark rich color, rich cherry aroma, full blackberry flavor. Reminds us of the big Aussie Barrosa or GSM or Shiraz.

A refined example of the elegant Merlot grape. The nose is full of oak and spicy notes, and the color is deep red with hints of purple. As the flavors open up, ripe cherry dominates the earlier spice and finishes smoothly with heavy tannins. At this price, the quality of this wine outshines many of its peers. The additional age contributes to a sophisticated stylishness.
