Wine Description

The wine displays a rich, dark garnet color. The nose is mouth-watering, with notes of kirsh and blueberries, lifted by a great minerality. The wine is dense on the palate, concentrated, generous with touches of vanilla and a well integrated wood. The tannins are ripe and silky. This wine combines body and elegance, you will enjoy it in 7-10 years or for the 15 years beyond.

Expert Reviews
  • Robert Parker
(2008 Vintage) "Similar in style to the 2008 Bon Pasteur, the dark ruby/plum-colored 2008 Rouget is unquestionably a sleeper of the vintage. Notes of mulberries, black currants and sandy, loamy soil as well as a lush, seductive, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel and good purity as well as depth suggest it can be drunk now and over the next decade or more."
