(From 2011 Vintage) A very friendly, ripe style, with plum cake, raisin and dark linzer torte notes framed by toast, but stays fleshy enough through the finish for balance.
Wine Spectator 90 Ripe and dense, but fresh, with silky-textured plum, blackberry and blueberry fruit carried by sweet spice and maduro tobacco notes. The fleshy finish shows nice drive. Should open up more with brief cellaring. Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2011. 5,000 cases made.
13%, 50% Cab Franc, 20% Cab Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, fading now in 2012
Classic Bordeaux taste but slightly corky. Wonderful complexity.
Moderate tannins, benefits from aeration
An amazing wine for the price!
very full good with short ribs
