Winemaker's Notes

(From 2013 Vintage) This opaque ruby wine has aromas of freshly picked black cherries, raspberry, plum, rose and yellow flowers, with hints of mint, dried herbs and underbrush. The palate has a rich round mouthfeel and is accompanied by red and black fruit, dark chocolate and a bit of toast. Not powerful, but well-ripened, this wine provides a well-balanced and delicate finish.

(From 2010 Vintage) The 2007 Bonarda is 100% varietal aged in stainless steel. Purple-colored and very fragrant, it offers up scents of strawberry and raspberry. This is followed by a medium-bodied, lively wine with pleasant acidity and ample ripe fruit. It would be a superb match with a pulled pork sandwich.

(From 2006 Vintage) If you're already familiar with Argentine Bonarda, this wine will make you feel as though you've landed on another planet. It comes from 30-year-old vines planted in two areas within Mendoza; one in the cool heights of Uco Valley, and the other toward the hot plains of the east, in Rivadavia. The combination results in a massive red with a roasted black fruit aroma that almost takes you to the Rhone, its firm, tense tannins and vibrant acidity providing a solid structure that suggests a brilliant future. A hedonistic pleasure, and a true steal for the price.
