2009 Allegrini Palazzo della Torre Veronese

Winemaker's Notes

Enticing scents of chocolate, espresso, dark fruit, licorice and new leather emerge from the boisterous Palazzo. The fruit is sumptuous as always. There is enough balance and elegance in the finish to suggest this will drink well for a number of years.

Partially produced in the style of an amarone, combining dried and fresh grapes before fermentation. Distinct and rich dried fruit, raisin and date, balsamic, while also retains a juicy medium bodied finish

not your typical Italian, very fruity, not the best with spaghetti as that competed with the wine flavour

Grapes are dried, pressed and then blended with pressed grapes and aged in oak.

(From 2006 Vintage) Dense and deep ruby red in color, Palazzo della Torre is loaded with luscious aromas of currant, blackberry and licorice.
