  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(From 2004 Vintage) Showing the toasty, herbal, fruity, rich complexity that is part of the better offerings from this fabled producer, the wine is supple and a even a bit plush at the front of the palate and firms up a touch at the finish. Its milk chocolaty richness and cherryish fruit stand it in good stead and promise to see the wine past its edge of curt tightness at present.
