(From 2010 Vintage) Rich and intense aromas of honey, apple pie, butterscotch and roasted hazelnuts are complimented with citrus notes of lemon blossom and lemon curd. This wine fills the mouth with rich texture, a round and creamy mid-palate is supported by that signature Sonoma-Cutrer clean, citrus-laced acidity that creates an excellent balance. Fruit flavors of baked apple, lemon curd, pear and melon are accented with a complimentary bit of toasty oak.
Full flavoured, nutty and oaked colour, ligt gold Nose, aromas of ginger and lemon zest followed by toasty coconut, melon, caramel alongside a mineral flinty streak... Palate, flavoured of apple, pear, pineapple finishing wiht a rich nutty spicy, ligty oaked profile. Food matching, Poulty with creamy sauces, pata with cheese sauce, roast pork and chicken. Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2006 Vintage) The Chardonnays of Sonoma Cutrer have always veered to the restrained side of the varietal spectrum, and, while this bottling starts out with a fair bit of honeyed-apple richness, it steers to firmness with minerals and firm acids its most lasting traits. Its tendency to stiffness may abate some with age, and it is a wine that should match up nicely with a wide range of white-fleshed fish recipes.
