Deep garnet colored, the 2008 Mr Black's Little Book Shiraz gives pronounced notes of nuts, warm chocolate, star anise and blackberry preserves, with nuances of date pudding, figs, black olives and sandalwood. Full-bodied, ripe and rich in the mouth, with crisp acidity to balance and a medium to firm level of grainy tannins to contribute texture, it has a long, dried fruit and savory finish. Drink it now to 2016+. Score - 90+. (Lisa Perrotti-Brown, MW, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2011)
