Wine Description

(2008 Vintage) "Rombauer Vineyards' Carneros Chardonnay has earned a reputation for being the benchmark California Chardonnay and the 2008 vintage continues that tradition. Delicious with intense pear, pineapple and tropical fruits, balanced with creamy, toasted vanilla. Refined acidity and hints of apple linger on the finish. Our favorite pairing for this wine includes grilled salmon or chicken with mango salsa, seafood pasta, crab cakes and arugula salad." -Winery

  • Planet Grape
(2014 Vintage) Creamy and luscious with trademark notes of pina colada, ripe banana, maple, nutmeg, french toast, and men's cologne.
  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(2006 Vintage) This creamy, oak-sweetened wine displays plenty of appley fruit by way of attractive varietal character and sports a racy touch of balancing acidity that keeps it light on its feet and refreshingly vital. It will succeed equally well as a partner to richer chicken dishes as it does to broiled or grilled fish, and it is perfectly suited to near-term enjoyment.
  • Wine Buyer
(2009 Vintage) Rombauer Vineyards' 2006 Carneros Chardonnay is rich and full-bodied with peach, apple, and mango aromas and flavors. The creamy texture of asian pears and peaches glides across the palate and the light oak tones highlight the wine's complex and lingering finish.
