Here is a wine that will benefit from more time in the bottle, but – for a price – we have lifted you ten years along the aging pathway. Full-bodied, pure, thick, and creamy-textured, this wine's superb concentration conceals its lofty, but sweet tannin. Togni's wines possess exceptional aging potential, but it will be hard to keep your hands off this one after it has had another 2-4 years of bottle age.     (1994 Vintage) Good ruby-red, with some development at the rim. Complex, mellow aromas of black raspberry, tree bark, smoke, cedar and nutty oak. Sweet, pliant flavors of blueberry, raspberry and nuts, complicated by subtle herbal nuances. Not especially expansive but complex and easy to drink. Finishes with dusty, slightly dry tannins that come across as less refined than those of the 2001.
