(2008 Vintage) Ripe and ready, with a rich, syrupy nose. Just right on the palate, where bold dark-fruit flavors are supported by lively tannins and just enough acid. Spice and coffee on the finish, with ample oak.
Aromas of dark fruit & green pepper. the wine had flavor of sour cherry & blackberry followed by wood & chocolate. very firm tannins & the wine seems 2 need some time for aging.
this wine needs ample time to breathe. very strong nose of dark cherry. hints of currant and oak, a bit spicy, but strong... if you don't let it sit.
full bouquet good flavor
good with shrimp cocktail not so good with milk chocolat
