Wine Details

Wine Description

(2009 Vintage) Bright Cherry red in colour. Lovely intense plum jam flavours with oaked vanilla and raisins. Taste of mature red fruits with chocolate and fine oak, balanced with sweet and soft tannins.

You can really notice oak on this one, so you should be cautious if you hate oak-monsters. Fortunately this is not just vanilla-shake but also has nice solid structure supported by strong tannins. Over-all quite a delicious with food. Complex with a Napa Valley-like feel to its currant, black cherry, tobacco, dusty soil, and new oak flavors. Juicy, concentrated and super-bright on the palate with complex, fresh flavors. All in all, although ratings were good, as well as reviews were positive, personally I did not care for. Too peppery, too much oak. Maybe second bottle will be better after a year or 2. At this point would not buy again.
