Wine Description

(2003 Vintage) "A great and interesting white wine whose price belies its excellence. It's ripe and lush in citrusy, fig and honeydew melon flavors and has a rich layering of toasty oak. The finish is long and pleasing."-Wine Enthusiast

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(2005 Vintage) 10% Semillon. Fresh and clean and somewhat reluctant to show its fruit, but not without enough fruit to be wholly presentable, this medium-full-bodied wine also captures quiet suggestions of greens and minerals in its aromas and flavors. A touch of latter palate angularity and a drift into stiffness count against it for the nonce, but time in bottle should help.
  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(2006 Vintage) 8% Semillon; 1% Pinot Gris. Although it teases with glimpses of sweet lemons and green melons, this very stiff and coarsely textured wine is driven off course by matchsticky chemical traits, and its failures are made final by a marked streak of medicinal finishing bitterness.
