(2013 Vintage) Chardonnay has been a time-honored favorite at MacRostie Winery & Vineyards since our first harvest in 1987. Over the years, we’ve focused on building a small portfolio of partner growers. Twenty six years later, we continue to work with these iconic small vineyards, with several of these relationships going back to the beginning of the winery. Our vineyard partners are committed to sustainable farming methods, long-term relationships, small yields and award-winning wines.
A rich, elegant style, with intense, concentrated citrus, green apple, spice and fresh-cut flowers. Full-bodied, gaining depth and complexity on the finish, where the minerality shines through. Drink now through 2018. Ripe pear and butterscotch on the nose belie a bright palate of ripe apple and citrus tinged fruit supported by some crisp acidity that make this a worthy pairing for almost any seafood.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2006 Vintage) Sporting lots of ripe-apple and sweet-pear qualities along with a dollop of complementary oak in its concentrated aromas and its juicy, nicely-stuffed flavors, this lively, full-bodied youngster may be a little direct and lacking in nuance just now, but it has the kind of fruity depth and structure that make for easy predictions of better a year or two hence.
