(From 2011 Vintage) Good bright ruby. Lively aromas of cassis and blueberry, complemented by a subtle hint of smoky minerality. Sweet, supple and rich, with good depth to its dark berry, chocolate and mocha flavors. The firm finish features ripe tannins and strong lingering fruit. This attractive wine conveys an impression of a bit of residual sugar.
(From 2010 Vintage) The 2010 Cocina Malbec was aged for 14 months in 20% new French and American oak and bottled without fining or filtration. Dark ruby red in color, this medium-bodied effort sports a nose of spice box, tobacco, violets, and black cherry. In the glass it opens to reveal a bit of structure, savory flavors, and a forward personality.
