(2013 Vintage) Ripe, red cherry and raspberry with notes of sassafras. Medium body with a bright acidity and bursting with rich concentrated flavor. Berries and cream evoke a velvety finish.
International Wine Cellar(2006 Vintage) Medium red. Intensely perfumed bouquet of spiced cherry, raspberry and blood orange, complicated by smoky minerals and fresh rose. Tangy, sharply focused red berry flavors are medium-bodied and refreshing, picking up a sweeter kirsch note with air. The blood orange quality returns on the long, juicy finish. Sexy and energetic wine-and much more sophisticated than some of this winery's pinot efforts just a few short years ago.
International Wine Cellar(2005 Vintage) Bright ruby. Precise wild strawberry, raspberry and kirsch aromas are enlivened by suggestions of Indian spices and vanilla bean. Bright and linear on the palate, with nervy red berry and pomegranate flavors, silky tannins and a delicate texture. This reminds me of an elegant Chambolle-Musigny or Volnay. Silky and sweet on the finish, which is impressively sappy and expansive. This is ridiculously easy to drink.
