2008 Justin Vineyards & Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles

Wine Description

(From 2012 Vintage) Clear with a medium ruby, purple core and light violet rim. With medium-plus intensity, it's a beautifully classic cabernet sauvignon mix of ripe blackcurrant, black and red cherries with vanilla, cedar, sweet tobacco, and licorice accents. : Medium-plus body with dark fruit of cassis and black cherry on the entry. Barrel notes of vanilla and cedar with savory black tea and herbal notes come through on the mid-palate. The finish is long and clean with lingering bright cherry and spice of sassafras and licorice, surrounded by smooth firm to medium tannins. A traditionally styled cabernet sauvignon in all respects.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2006 Vintage) Justin 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark red with a crimson hue. Aromas of raspberry, bing cherry, mushroom, and an assortment of spice, vanilla and leather make up the nose. A soft, fruit forward entry...

Sweet and fruity aromas with cherry notes dominant. Rich violet color. surprisingly dry given the aroma, smokey flavors give way to spice. Moderate acidity with medium body and long finish.

Really good for high volume Cab at $20. I prefer Mount Veeder or Stonestreet @ $20-30 but will buy this again for an immediate drink.
