Wine Description

(From 2011 Vintage) The 2005 growing season was remarkably abundant, allowing us to thin the vines early in the season for optimal uniformity. Exceptional weather during harvest allowed the grapes to develop optimal ripeness and complex structure.

Winemaker's Notes

2008 showcases both the delicacy of the vintage and Jordan’s smooth, approachable style. The fruit is the focal point in this silky, elegant wine. Elegant aromas of cherries and plums are mirrored in the palate. The mouthfeel is soft and silky, with subtle red and black cherry flavors and a hint of spicy oak from barrel age that complements the fruit tannins.

Great bouquet, but not particularly robust in flavor, although very pleasant to drink w/o food. Didn't stand up that well to the steak, but would certainly drink it again!

Easy to drink more earthy and minerals on the palette. Nice.

(From 2000 Vintage) The fleeting hints of citrus and green apples in this one come and go all too quickly, and, in the absence of any semblance of varietal fruitiness and identifiable richness, the wine turns thin and slightly coarse as it crosses the palate and empties out into a forgettable finish.
