(2008 Vintage) The French-oak aging on our 2009 Russian River Chardonnay offers up wonderful aromas of vanilla and crème brûlée, a lovely foil to the bright scents of tropical and citrus fruit. On the palate, there is a rich, creamy texture from sur lie aging.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2003 Vintage) Hints of flowers and a suggestion of Muscat in the nose give the wine a light and lively quality while its honey and oak aromas fill it out admirably. Medium-full in body and decently balanced if a little bit on the open side in its youth, this tasty bottling may lack for a bit of complexity but more than compensates with its ripe and fully fruity flavors.
