(From 1997 Vintage) A signature of our Chardonnays has always been the wonderfully fragrant nose that lures you to take a sip. The wine is a complex mix of ripe tropical fruits and peaches with spice and citrus. It is clean yet creamy on the palate and has a wonderfully long finish and near perfect balance. I do not allow this wine to go through malolactic fermentation because of the considerable richness that is inherent in our fruit.     (From 2004 Vintage) Offering a distinctive mix of ripe Gala apple fruitiness and creamy oak with a hint of roasted nuts and caramel, this wine is highly aromatic and quite inviting. Its full, rounded, somewhat viscous mouthfeel is accompanied by sweet and noticeably "liqueurese" sensations that detract a bit from its central fruit but allow the wine to have the weight and succulence needed to accompany dishes like savory spit-roasted chicken.
