Wine Description

(From 2013 Vintage) Decadent wafts of cherry strudel with vanilla icing mingle with dark berries, baking spice and the faintest hint of beach-fire smokiness. A silky mouthful of boysenberry, cherry cola, crème brulée and sandalwood glides evenly across the palate as supple tannins offer a pleasingly prolonged finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Bright red cherry, violets, vanilla and pie crust aromas, punctuated by an alluring smokiness, are a vivacious introduction to this Oregon vintage. A sweet approach leads to a satiny mouthful of red plum, cranberry and sage. Food friendly acidity allows for a spirited, lasting finish. Try this with Thai or Chinese pepper sauce, grilled scallops, thin crust pizza margherita, pasta with red sauce, and zesty BBQ.

Red fruit, some nutmeg, closed, some Pinot on the nose. Taste tart red fruit at first! Wow tart! Good acidity, dry finish, some wood on the finish. Better flavor after time, sweeter nose after time. Almost intense. Good balance. No heat. Probably going to develop very nicely in 1-2 years and beyond. Pure Pinot flavor. Tannic dry. Need to get a few and wait til next year. Yup good stuff.
