Wine Description

(From 2011 Vintage) A lively ruby-red color with garnet red highlights. Intense, complex, and fruity, with aromas of wild cherry. Dry, full-bodied and persistent.

Winemaker's Notes

This is a dark red wine with a slight brown tinge around the edges. On the nose it's earthy with some fruit in the background (dark berries and blackcurrants). On the palate, medium bodied, earthy, quite bold, pretty tannic (a lot of roughness on the teeth) and fairly dry. Some blackcurrants on the finish. More fruit comes through as it's allowed to breathe, it opens up quite nicely.

thought I liked more last time, had more of an oaky taste. now it tastes very fruity, but still no bit. tastes like grapes. I'll try to aerate it next time to seeif it makes a difference. aerating it made it taste slot better, it tasted more like last time, much more complex

very simple...dark fruits, slightly tart with sweet undertones. good on it's own.
