Domaine du Vieux Lazaret Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Wine Details

Wine Description

This wine’s dried spices, dusty earth and bright cherries exemplify some of the southern Rhône wines’ most charming attributes. It’s medium-bodied, with supple tannins and a lingering finish.

(2006 Vintage) Medium ruby. Powerful red berry and musky herbs on the nose, with a bright mineral quality adding energy. Tangy redcurrant and strawberry flavors are finely etched and impressively fresh, with good mineral lift to the finish. I suspect that this will gain weight with a couple more years of aging.
