(From 2013 Vintage) While the palate is opulent, full of lemon meringue, peach pie, and ripe strawberry, the vibrancy of the acidity reliably lays the foundation for food pairing and aging for many years to come.
(From 2011 Vintage) Rich and intense aromas of lemon, lime leaf, citrus flowers, honey and slightly nutty baked pie crust. The creamy texture is nicely complemented by expressions of white stone fruits (nectarines and peaches) and Granny Smith green apple with hints of marzipan on the finish.
Don't drink too cold. Not worth the price but watch "Bottle Shock" which is a very enjoyable flick about the start of Napa Valley wine country.
Oct 29, 2010. The nose was a bit tropical for my taste in chard, but it tasted lovely: rich mouthfeel, nice balance, not too rich.
Not too buttery, but big and interesting.
