Château Lynch Bages showed deep ruby with purple tints. Jammy berries, oak, and cassis in the nose. On the palate, the wine showed good concentration, freshness, and ripe character, finishing with hints of boysenberry. Some dryness was detected in the finish.
(From 2004 Vintage) This wine is on a rapid course for maturity as it already offers tobacco, earth, cedar and pencil aromas along with its cassis blackberry fruit. Medium bodied, with some green to the tannins, there is a bit of rusticity in the bright, almost crisp, cassis and cranberry finish.
Decanter(From 1992 Vintage) Rating: 0/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Fairly deep red; sweetish nose, not much fruit definition; soft, supple, lacks grip but has some underlying tannin, lacks flair and vigour; medium length.
